Over the last 25 years the community cultural value of the festival has been regularly acknowledged by the support of Government bodies, such as Festivals Australia, Queensland Events, and Arts Queensland.Majestic mountains, unique Crater Lakes, and World Heritage Rainforest are home to the Yungaburra Folk Festival. The Yungaburra Folk Festival is the longest running, and second largest, folk festival in Queensland. Mission With dignity and respect for cultural diversity, YFF provides ongoing access to cross cultural education and expression, enriching the community through artistic learning experiences, culminating in an Annual Festival.
YFF invites long term partnerships with Organisations and individuals that share the goals of social, cultural and environmental responsibility in the community. Yungaburra Folk Festival Partners YFF has been working consistently with the FNQ Arts and Cultural community for sustainable long term development. The festival is committed to continuing free children's and youth education in schools and the festival, and recognises the assistance of the Regional Arts Development Fund, Eacham Shire Council, and local business.

This vibrant festival is held in the heritage listed township of Yungaburra, which is an increasingly popular national and international tourist destination, located just one hour from Cairns International Airport.
